Triple Crown Promotions Announces The 2010 AmateurCross Championships

3/12/2010

(March, 8th 2010) Menifee, Ca. - Triple Crown Promotions (TCP), producer of the California Triple Crown Motocross Series is pleased to announce the 1st Annual 2010 AmateurCross Championships. This inaugural 2-day event scheduled for May 15 & 16th will offer an exciting and unique opportunity for racers to race Supercross on Saturday, and Motocross on Sunday. Overall AmateurCross Champions will be crowned using combined moto scores.

Both days of racing will be held at Competitive Edge Motocross facility in Hesperia, Ca.  Since opening back in 2005, Competitive Edge has thrived at being one of the hottest motocross facilities in the country.  The Supercross track will run the basic layout as used by the pros, but with some necessary safety modifications for the average amateur rider. Both tracks will be built and prepped by 14-year retired professional motocross and Supercross rider Joe Oehlhof.

Perfect timing for the event:

May marked the perfect month to do the exciting event, due to it being a quiet month of amateur racing in Southern California and surrounding states. This event will take place the weekend after the final Supercross race in Las Vegas, and before the outdoor opener in Sacramento. For amateurs, the motocross portion of this event will also be a tune-up event for other regional events taking place a few weeks after.  Many of the top racers kick of the amateur circuit in Texas come March. Every month from that point on there's a big event, besides May.

Unique Custom Championship trophies:

Triple Crown Promotions (TCP) has always gone above and beyond to give out the coolest and unique trophies out there. For The AmateurCross Championships, it will be no different. Custom fabricator Freddy Sheppard with Sheppard Customs has partnered up with TCP to design and fabricate the one of a kind, custom AmateurCross Championship trophies.

More updates and upcoming information regarding the AmateurCross event will be sent out periodically through press releases.
